After confronting the family attorney Jeff discovers he is alone in the world, with no money and no home. In a chance encounter the newly homeless Jeff meets Kate, a beautiful woman whose shallow world view is in need of serious expansion. Kate sees an opportunity to redeem herself by helping Jeff out with a medical insurance scam when Jeff learns he has cancer.
