Today its mostly applied to former East Germany with its attempts to change its image: factories and chimneys are disappearing, wellness centers are popping up, sheep are grazing under solar panels. But recent past is stored close to the new surface. On a ghost train ride through the former GDR industrial region around Halle/ Bitterfeld, the Dunkeldeutschland-born filmmakers stumbling subjective camera is trying to find the right distance.
