It also recalls the moment that the nation discovered news reader Angela Rippon had legs, and celebrates Eric's love of props, from a ventriloquist dummy to the infamous curtain. Bring Me Morecambe And Wise also explains how the comedy legends were brought together by Eric's mum in 1939, after the two teenage comics met during auditions for Jack Hylton for a variety tour. The series follows their career performing together from 1941 until Eric Morecambe's death in 1984, as they became the kings of British comedy with famous sketches such as Singin' in the Rain, The Grieg Piano Concerto and The Breakfast Sketch.
