Sporadic street images keep entering this private domain in the form of mirror reflections that catch her attention; they are obsessively reworked into a fictional scenario focusing on an impending arrival, which she longs for but at the same time dreads. Haunted by this vague expectation, she starts preparing for the reception of the imaginary visitor, while the initial selflessness and affection of the cradle song is gradually supplanted by the anguished narcissism of an introverted, delirious monologue.
