On the eve of his wedding Nick tells his father he has doubts about going through with it but a family party is interrupted following a traffic pile-up and the need for all surgical staff to operate on the victims. When one dies Jacob has doubts about the job but is counselled by Monroe. Jenny refuses to accept Sarah's resignation and it is Lawrence who moves on whilst Springer actually admits his feelings for Sarah.
