This epidemic has become one of the leading causes of death and disability in our country - and costs us more than $200 $174 billion a year. Now, nearly 1 in 3 Americans are at risk for developing this disease. But that can change. Six people all at risk - have decided to take action. For the next 16-weeks, they will follow in the National Diabetes Prevention Program - a lifestyle intervention that is proven to help people lose weight and reduce the risk for type 2 diabetes. Empowering participants with the tools and knowledge to change their lives. They will guided by two dedicated coaches. They will receive helpful tips from a variety of experts. And they will welcome the support of their friends and family. These 6 people will attempt to stop this deadly disease it its tracks. And if you're at risk, you can join them. The goal?
