Ted Nicolaou got his start in cinema as a sound recordist on one of the most iconic horror films of all time, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. From there, he joined forces with Charlie working as an editor on the classic Tourist Trap and Ghoulies and later, as a director on the utterly insane TerrorVision. In 1991 he helmed the first entry in the Subspecies franchise, the vampire film series that would define much of his career.
