He attends a drug addiction support group where he hooks up with an old using buddy, Marty, an aggressively helpful wild-man with 30 days clean. Cort shares that he is looking for a good friend of his who he has been out of contact with since he went to jail six months ago. The two hit the road in this depressing, Wal-Mart town looking for jobs at all the retail, fast food, and department store chains every small town in America has to offer.
