Actions intensify to reveal the reality in which she lives that is not as depressing as he believes. The roles change, Martine takes over. Then the thoughts of the man are transformed into that of the new narrator. Revealing similar details but from a new perspective. As the story advances, conflicts of the past are unveiled to discover another layer of their relationship, a more intimate layer. See less
