This mixed bag of comedians unpack their interactions with the Adelaide Fringe comedy scene and why comedy keeps drawing them back despite the challenges they face. For Lori, her sexuality, background and gender play a pivotal role in her comedy identity. For Gordon, the light-hearted wit of the boy-next-door character conceals personal struggles. For Luke, the mental toll of a brain injury is overcome through a bright outlook on life. For Carly, comedy is the source of a better perspective in her social work.
