Young husband and father, Alex Ramos, dreams of being signed to a lucrative publishing contract. Stressed over money and a job he can't stand, Alex has a moment of clarity in which he realizes he's been neglecting his family. When a major business deal falls through, he gives up, quits his job, and considers drinking again after 5 years of sobriety. Then a publisher calls, offering Alex an opportunity.
