Based on the date, the family determines that the call was made during the last "family meeting" of Molly's family. Jake is enraged that someone would place a call for $4.82 and not pay for it. They determine that Cousin Muttel is responsible, but he becomes ill before Jake can confront him, though Jake hints a lot about it. Molly nurses him back to health as the the family decides how Muttel will support himself and his wife (who's in Miami). They decide to all chip in and pay Muttel to retire, which offends Muttel. He's never taken a cent from the family and never will. They remind him of the money that they've given him over the years and Jake brings up the phone call. Muttel marches to the desk where the phone sits and shows Jake where he left the $4.82 when he made the call. Written by Richard Bradbury See less
