A witty, dialogue-driven film, it shows the relationships which buoy the characters and the biting London humour which invigorates them. Assertive Sophie is six months pregnant by Jonathan, which concerns her young lover Richard and causes him to turn away from her sexually. Jonathan is gay, suave, and married to Conner, who is worried about the strength of their union supporting said child. Strikingly stylised with high-contrast lighting, the film's comic issues are played out against a hyper-real landscape of contemporary London; a bus, a bookshop, a Savile Row suit-shop, and a crowded pub act as backdrops to the action.
