For this he has extended the solo camping expedition to three weeks, to prove himself to his doubters. He traverses the rural landscape, fantasizing about his long-awaited 'big finish'. Dan and Joe are an Irish father and son, in England to claim some land they have won playing poker. Adhering to an ancient Irish superstition, they must fence the land within a week to avoid terrible bad luck. When they meet David, he may as well be a different species, and vice versa.
