On that day, Mitchell James Byrne, Brisbane skateboarder and filmmaker, took his own life. One year prior, in 2006, Mitch approached fellow filmer Stuart 'Fog' Fogarty and offered to lend a hand in filming skateboard video 'Along the Lines' starring Brisbane's most talented skaters. Mitch gave wings to the film, which was in its very early stages. The pair spent week after week filming what was to be their greatest work. Mitch's death impacted not only those closest to him, but the Australian skate community as a whole.
