In this film he makes a personal vow to world-renowned and some say shamanistic artist Barry Flanagan who is wrestling with Motor Neuron Disease on the island of Ibiza that he will travel the world and bring back footage of strangers by his public works and film the artist watching this as he wrestles with his disease. As well as a celebration of and homage to the artist, it is a journey of discovery across Europe and the United States, in which the filmmaker leaves Afghanistan well behind. Poetic, moving, travelsome, it tries to be both worldly and intimate at the same time. When the artist dies, the film enters its third and final act. Written by Anonymous See less
