Will has committed an unforgivable act against his parents and begins to feel the severity of his action. Jay, on the other hand, bears good news; he's beaten the odds and won the lottery for a U.S. Green card, giving him the opportunity to work and live in the U.S. After a quick pit stop to pick up some Taiwanese essentials - beers and betel nut, the two arrive at the beach just in time for sunset. Sharing a smoke, the two friends realise that their time together in Taiwan will soon come to an end as Jay prepares to leave for the U.S. to chase his destiny - the American dream. The same destiny Will's parents had wished for their son. The next morning, Will falls victim to his inner demons and as a result, commits an act of self-sabotage leaving him and Jay stranded.
