I began by closely examining my family's impeccable 16mm archival footage. Consisting of hours of beautiful film shot by my Grandfather, this began my journey into my family history and the nature of the archive. An interest that was sparked by my obsession with the death of my father, and which culminates here with a piece focusing quite clearly on his death. Consisting of archival footage from my father's childhood and my own, along with footage shot by myself at the site of his death, this video piece is truly a succinct portrayal of my visceral reaction to the knowledge of my father's suicide.
