Birgit, Bjørn, Jytte, Poul, Rachel and Salle were among the approx. 500 Danish Jews who failed to escape to Sweden and thus avoid Nazi captivity. Their stories are about anxiety, deprivation, hunger, cruelty and loss, but also about friendship, love and hope.
