The scavengers participated in an acting workshop and acted the parts in the narrative film, THE MOUNTAIN THIEF. After a successful film festival run, the film has become an agent of philanthropy and a plea for change. Audiences who saw the film in the U.S. responded to the call for action and started helping the scavenger-actors.
