Using a specially rigged car he is able to make contact with a lower echelon member of the ring and go with him to a delivery point just below the border. There he learns that the headquarters of the ring is in Mexico City. Proceeding to the Mexican Capital, he places an ad in the papers announcing his willingness to purchase a fleet of cars at a low price. Approached by Wire Jameson and Georgie Largo, a couple of deported American gangsters, he poses as a member of the underworld himself. His first attempt to trace the location of the cars, however, fails and he is almost killed in a gun fight with Jameson. Nevertheless, the Largo is impressed with the way Robin handles himself and agrees to go through with the purchase deal. Just as Robin is about to complete his mission it is discovered that there is a something wrong with his cover identity and he is forced to fight for his life before he can call in the police.
