He's stuck, he's in a rut. Though he writes on a grand scale, he cannot envision the world outside of his apartment or beyond the three people closest to him; his girlfriend, his agent and the executive he must impress. Through a series of fantastical sequences of mediocrity, featuring vampires, pirates and an intergalactic war, the writer and his characters fight tooth and nail to meet the deadline.
