The war with the north has taken a brutal toll, with over 2 million dead. Below the new border some 96 ethnic groups now face an uncertain future. Many are suffering, but it's the women and girls who have it the worst. Many are raped, while most are routinely traded for cattle and forced to serve their owners. This film is an intimate look into several different southern tribes and highlights the work being done by Mercy Beyond Borders to improve the lives of women and girls primarily through education, health care, and micro-loans.
