Reena begins to question Max's whereabouts, as he prepares to blow up the Harper oil well. Kate informs Justin that she's leaving her share of the Marshall ranch to Max. Ryan decides to have another directional survey performed with an engineer selected by Striker. After tricking Gus into going for food, Elena searches his place and finds the money. Joe anxiously awaits Elena's call. Jeb confides to Lurlene that Max is in trouble and has her distract Reena. Gus catches Elena with the money and realizes who she is. While struggling, Elena drops a bag over the balcony, and Gus goes after it. Bubba surprises Max at the well. Max and Bubba get into a fight, but Max manages to light the fuse.
