Considering that at the beginning of the summer of 1941 some Croatian soldiers were sent to the eastern front in Russia, Misic wrote to the Archbishop of Zagreb, Alojzije Stepinac, on July 11. Misic wrote to Stepinac also later. He asked for help in protecting converts to the Catholic faith, but the date of that letter is unknown. We learn about this from Stepinac's letter of September 11, 1941, sent to the Minister of the Interior, Dr. Andrija Artukovic. Written by
