Entering the matrix of psychological profiles and medical protocols, which are often in conflict his personal vision, Alejandro must navigate the complex and contested terrain of gender reassignment. As he begins hormone therapy, Alejandro finds himself shifting physically, psychologically and spiritually. This process culminates in surgery when Alejandro connects with a mystical figure who helps him integrate the past with the present and enable a possible future.
