The documentary features footage from the original series including the powerful interview between correspondent Carl Stern and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel as well as current commentary from Nobel Peace Prize recipient Elie Wiesel, musician and political activist Theodore Bikel, and author Letty Cottin Pogrebin among others.
