When three-year-old Brian Wilcox is murdered the chief suspect is Callum, Paddy's cousin's ten- year -old son and when his name is published in the paper, his family - wrongly - blame Paddy. Unconvinced of Callum's guilt Paddy links the murder to that of another little boy, some years earlier, whose alleged killer has just hung himself in prison.
