Affiliated with New York's Bonanno crime family, Vito Rizzuto came to prominence in the early 1980s when Joe Massino, acting head of the Bonannos, had Vito and his crew eliminate 3 captains he suspected of being unloyal. After that, Vito was the king of crime in Montreal with a criminal empire worth billions and controlling the flow of heroin through Montreal to the U.S. Vito however was extradited to the U.SA. and eventually sentenced to 10 years in prison.
