His one desire is a hot meal he didn't have to cook himself and a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. He didn't count on meeting Elizabeth nor becoming embroiled in her struggle to keep the S-bar-S ranch, but God had other plans. Finding himself drawn inexorably to Elizabeth, Jim struggles with his desire to be with her and a past that made him who he is. This is as close to home as he has felt since the murder of his family twelve years before. His past boils to the surface in sometimes violent reactions to injustice and his struggle to please God. In the end, Jim must decide if he can accept the opportunity for love that God has given him or if he is unworthy of love and redemption. Written by Phillip Hardy See less
