Four smiths must recreate one of Dave's favorite weapons--the Bone Daddy Fantasy Seax. After surviving an intense round of tests, also chosen by the historian himself, the remaining two smiths will then return to their home forges to make the very weapon that inspired Dave to start bladesmithing--the Fantasy Broadsword. Once they return to the forge and the weapons are put through another brutal round of testing, Dave will determine which smith will come out on top and walk away with $10,000 and the title of Forged in Fire champion.
