Michael spills it to Jessica that Brooke is about to receive a proposal on the runway. Stephanie makes a last minute plea to Ridge, who cannot forget about the intimate scene he saw between Brooke and Grant, to change his mind. Meanwhile, Taylor informs James and Maggie that she cannot take it to witness the finale after all and leaves. Megan interrupts Brooke's attempt to talk to Ridge by introducing her to famed journalist Elsa Klensch. Finally, the big moment arrives with Eric and Ridge announcing the showstopper, but Thorne and Stephanie are the first to realize that Brooke is not presenting it. Suddenly, Taylor's face is revealed - she is wearing the bridal gown. The audience is aghast. Brooke is crushed when Ridge proposes to Taylor instead of her - and she happily accepts his proposal.
