The film follows the fascinating stories of five kids, ages 11 to 18, and a high school varsity basketball team, as they tackle highly charged problems involving physical violence or psychological devastation including rape, gender preference issues, the death of a parent, a suicide attempt, and betrayal and team fragmentation.
