Liberty Village: Somewhere in Heaven follows the stories of residents of Toronto's "Liberty Village". In the 1850's, "Liberty Village" was home to prisons and the Mercer Woman's Reformatory. Industries moved in after, and the area was all but abandoned until the late 1980's, when artists took over the empty warehouses and built a community.
