The audience is in Victorian/Edwardian costume--made or rented by the audience members themselves as part of the fun of participating. The shows were staged in the Leeds Varieties theatre and ran from 1953 to 1983 with turns by over 2000 performers during that time. On You Tube, you can see a very luscious Eartha Kitt having the audience eating out of the palm of her hands; John Inman in fairy costume is memorable, and each show is likely to have one performer from other, less bawdy, venues.
