Retrospectives of the season's journey of the three finalists - Adamme, LaToya and Michael - are provided, they who reflect on how far they've come. A lighter moment is provided by Corey, who renders his impressions of on-camera personalities associated with the show. On performance night, all the contestants and Mel B. perform a group number before the finalists go into the second half of the finale. The remaining contestants provide their guesses on who will come out on top by the end of the evening. From the first half, the three finalists enter the night in a three way tie. Each will perform two competitive numbers, the first being a jazz-funk routine, and the second being judges' choice: Adamme to perform a salsa, LaToya to perform an Argentine tango, and Michael to perform a quickstep. Although there is some separation in scores, they are still close before Mel B. announces the weight loss scores, which will determine who is Season 2 DYAO Champion and the winner of $100,000.
