But like many small communities across America, a dying local economy and tightened funding forced the school district to severely cut or completely eliminate the music programs. For years, Eldorado was oddly silent, until past graduates, ranging in age from 18 to 80, came together and formed The Eldorado Alumni Band. On their way to helping restore a music program in the schools and raising money to buy instruments for students, this unlikely group of farmers, teachers, attorneys, and stay at home moms rediscover their love of music and reconnect to the glory days of their youth.
