It was a time of major migrations in Europe, when the Band Ceramics culture blossomed. Archaeologists speculates about the reasons for the family's untimely dead and dignified obsequy. Plausible are a blood feud, or rather an inter-village conflict or a tribal invasion, possibly by the Bell Beaker culture, which apparently originated from Iberia, or judging by the arrow type rather the Schönfeld culture, near enough for the brides raid suggested by DNA-similarity.
