Surja narrates the story about his uncle, Bheem Singh, to his grandson and the kind of love and respect he garnered from the whole village. He also explains the true meaning of Chaudhar. But one incident, many years before, changed their life where Bheema was involved in an altercation with the Sarpanch and takes the challenge that he will win the next election and if he loses, he vows to die. The election results are announced and Bheema loses and therefore he tragically ends his life. Gopala, Surja's father, takes a vow from him that he will never fight the Sarpanchi election in his life. See less
