She never returned. Seventy years later, her grandson travels to this small village, now in Belarus to connect with the time and events surrounding the deportations. This is a short film that I produced for SWAMP (Southwest Alternative Media Project) in Houston. Below is the description they provide: "The tragedy of war and displacement is recounted as the filmmaker traces his personal history in a lovely, poetic tribute to family and survival." See less
