She has never seen Willing. Penelope has also advertised her farm for sale. Henry Limburger, a German cheese manufacturer, comes to buy the farm. The old maid mistakes the German for the man she expects to marry, and makes love to Limburger, who is nonplussed, but also willing, and they get ready to start for the minister's. A telegram comes from the maternal agency stating that Willing, the man they sent, is a bigamist, and to have him arrested. Penelope holds up Limburger with a shotgun and takes him to the Justice of the Peace, who has Limburger jailed before he can explain. Later the old maid finds Limburger's letter which explains the mistake. She rushes off and has Limburger released by the Justice, who marries them. Written by
