As the story unfolds the parallel lives of the other inhabitants of the car park are woven into the narrative until the couples search for their child leads them into contact with a poetry-writing security guard, an old bag-man, a sleeping night club bouncer, ending with a final confrontation between the father and a group of shop lifting hoodies he suspects has taken his child.
