Nicolas spends couple of days living and working with the elves, learns to disappear and reappear at will. Nicolas accidentally disappears and appears back in his old orphanage in Australia. Managing to perform disappearing and reappearing with the help of his friend Christopher, Nicolas sends a letter to Santa. Luckily, Tim-Tim and Nic-Nac delivers the letter and Santa with Humphrey, saves Nicolas from the orphanage and Nicolas earns his "Elf Certificate" back at the North Pole.
