The set is destroyed and the lead-actor, Adam Carraway, is hammered. As an actor, Adam knows rejection, but his prior experience has not prepared him for the complicated relationship that has transpired between himself and the play's director, Ellen Garner. During the last rehearsal, Adam and Ellen claim their ground, addressing their issues with the play and each other.
