In an interactive ...See moreIn Dismantling Man-Made Constructs, the social construct of structural racism is given symbolic form in "The Colorline," a readymade sculpture including mirror, industrial chrome, and heavy green velvet drapery. In an interactive performance set in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, volunteer participants dismantle a mobile manufactured construct, "The Colorline." Participants were divided into two groups: white participants were "Colonizers," and non-white participants were "The Colonized." Each respective group were provided a strict list of rules and guidelines on assembling or disassembling "The Colorline."
