The story takes place in a senior citizen housing project building located in the Bronx, and follows Kalaparusha into the subway stations and old jazz rehearsal spaces threw-out the city. The heart of the story is centered around the recording of Kalaparusha's final album entitled 'Closeness,' that is mainly about his relationship with his wife of twenty years and the spirituality that lies deep inside his music.
