The three-aisled Gothic-style pulpit depicts a golden boat (with oars and even a mast) held by two mermaids. And while there are a few things we like more than mermaids, the crown of glory should be the high golden altar. According to legend, a robber repented at this place, having stolen a precious relic from another church, leaving the reliquary. The persecuted priests saw a strange light emanating from the earth and, finding their sacred prey, founded a church here in recognition of the miracle.
