From their body language, we gather something has gone awry. He goes upstairs to remove his jacket. She throws herself into concocting a midnight snack, still wearing her dress. He returns and nervously eyes her at work. He enters the kitchen to fix himself a drink and a dance of avoidance commences, ending up with each on opposite sides of a tight kitchen. He slowly approaches her, unable to read her from behind. He starts to seduce her; she bristles, still assembling her elaborate sandwich. He continues, moving closer.
