After meeting them by a chain of events steered by chance, he instantly became drawn to them -to their pure hunger that is an utterly unpolluted and respectable hunger. Due to unfortunate political events, these Afghan children have had to endure a bit more hardships and heartaches than most do their age simply because of their heritage. Working on the play "Hussein Gholi, the Man with No Lips" and studying theater for nearly two years under the direction of a true great, Hamid Pourazari, Mr. Farmanara was able to follow these children around, documenting their rehearsals and also tapping into their personal lives.
