SUMMARY
Follows the inspirational journey of Naina, Niru and their boarding school classmates in Gujarat, India. As these 16 tenth-grade girls prepare for the crucial board examinations that will largely determine their futures, they must battle with a myriad of feelings, including fear and doubt -- for this is their one chance to fulfill their dreams and create lives far different from the villages they left behind. This documentary explores the ways in which education remains limited in rural India for all children, as well as the challenges that young women in particular must overcome to advance from traditional societal roles and village mentalities. Although India has boomed tremendously in recent years, major impediments remain in the access and quality of education in villages, which constitute 70% of the country's population.
